The size :

Relates to angles and proportions of a diamond.

Based on complex scientific formulas, a very well-cut diamond will reflect light from one facet to another (like a mirror) and scatter it, reflecting it off the top of the diamond (through the table). If the diamond is very well-cut, it will have optimal brilliance, which is referred to as the "fire" of the diamond. A diamond can also have a cut that is too flat or too thick; in these cases, the light will not be reflected optimally and the brilliance of the diamond will be affected.

The main diamond shapes are: round, princess, oval, marquise, emerald.

Purity:

Diamonds with few or no inclusions are very rare and therefore very expensive. These inclusions can look like crystals, clouds, or tiny feathers. International standards have established that a diamond is considered "pure" when an expert's eye can detect no flaws under 10x magnification.

A purity scale has been established to classify diamonds according to their degree of purity. This scale includes the following degrees of purity:

Weight:

The weight of a diamond is expressed in Carat : 1 carat is equal to 0.20 grams. A carat can be divided into 100 points. A 0.75 carat diamond is equal to a 75-point diamond and is equal to a 3/4 carat diamond. The diamond industry uses different types of scales to measure the weight of diamonds. The carat is a measurement that also applies to other precious and semi-precious stones. The carat of precious stones has nothing to do with the carat of gold alloys; they should not be confused. A diamond that weighs 0.9990 is announced as 1.00 carat, and another that weighs 0.9989 is announced as 0.99 carat.

The color:

A colorless diamond is a colorless diamond. The diamond industry uses color scales to classify diamonds. The color of a diamond has a significant impact on its value. The color scale ranges from D to Z, from colorless (colorless) to light yellow. The scale starts at " D " for " Diamond" (Diamond in French), there is no "A", "B" or "C". We recommend choosing a diamond with a color between "D" and "I". There are also diamonds of all colors: blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black, champagne, cognac, etc.

Other factors are also taken into consideration when purchasing a diamond such as polishing, symmetry, and the certificate offered with the diamond.

Since a budget is always attached to the purchase, it is therefore necessary to establish your priorities in order to choose your diamond according to your budget and your dream. Our advisors await you for your shopping!
