A symbol of loyalty and eternity, the invincible strength of the gods, until 1477 only great men were allowed to wear this stone, which represented courage and virility. It was only after Maximilian of Austria offered a diamond engagement ring to Mary of Burgundy that the tradition began. In 1953, the famous Marilyn called the stone "a woman's best friend," and the diamond has since become more and more popular with women.
This stone has the highest hardness on the Mohs scale and has been mined by humans for 6,000 years. No stone on the planet has matched its hardness. Admired and desired, the diamond is today the most popular stone on the jewelry market.
